Since the very beginning of Johnny’s journey, his main purpose across all restaurants has been to bring people together with quality Malaysian-Chinese food at great value, in a casual dining environment.
While Mid Valleys has been run by family mainly for the past 2 years, we are finally ready for some change.
We want to grow our team and surround ourselves with new people who are just as passionate at our craft-whether it be cooking dishes or providing quality customer service.

Available Positions
Waiter & Waitress
Manager/Supervisor Role (Front of house)
– Full Time Position – 38 hours/week
– Perform all tasks of waiter/waitress
– Schedule Staff
– Hire, Train & Onboard new staff
– Flexible, Organised & Reliable
– At least 3+ years experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
– Report to Operations
– Salary – $55-70k/year + super
Dishwasher/Kitchen hand
– Full-Time or Casual Available
– Maintain a clean & orderly dishwashing area
– Operation of commercial dishwashing machine
– Rubbish removal from production areas
– End of day cleaning (Floors, Prep areas etc)
– Assisting other staff members as required
– Able to work in fast paced environment
– Punctual, reliable and have own transport
– Salary – $25 – $35/hour
– Minimum age 18
Salary & Wages
For our staff, we follow the award wages as a minimum which is set by Fair work Australia.
Therefore there are different rates for different age groups and skill level.

Shifts & Hours
Generally, our shifts are at least 3-4 hours with a max of around 5-6 hours. You can also choose to work afternoon + night.

Monday – Closed
Tuesday – Dinner Only 5-9pm
Wednesday – Dinner Only 5-9pm
Thursday – 11am – 3pm / 5-9pm
Friday – 11-3pm / 5-10pm
Saturday – 5 – 10pm
Sunday – 11-3pm/ 5-9pm

No, we don’t have a uniform. We just require everyone to wear black/dark pants and a dark t-shirt. And also wear some non-slip work shoes.
We do provide aprons. Just let us know.

Generally in most cases, you have to be 15 and over to work & there may be a limit of hours during school terms.

Yes, after the interview – we will have paid trials to see if we are a good fit for each other. For waiter/waitress positions, this generally last no more than a few shifts.
