With Chinese New Year just around the corner, we have prepared our take of the Yu Sheng.
Yu Sheng (魚生) is a tradition popular among Malaysians and Singaporeans during the Lunar New Year.
Each ingredient symbolizes prosperity and good health. Once prepared, we will gather around and start “tossing” the salad while wishing others prosperity and good luck.
It is popularly believed that the higher the toss, the better your prospects and fortune in the year ahead.
